Smokey needs surgery

Hi Everyone,
Some of you may know me, some of you may not- but all you truly need to know is that my cat Smokey is my everything. Last night Smokey had been throwing up severely and would not eat (not even his favorite treats!) and was not his normal talkative/loving self.
I spent all of last night at the emergency hospital and found out he has a severe intestinal blockage that needs to be fixed- and surgery is the only option. After $1200 in tests and being transferred to 2 emergency hospitals, I have found out that this surgery that he needs desperately is going to cost $7000 (conservatively).
My heart is broken, I feel like a horrible pet owner for not being able to provide him this surgery on the spot, but financially I just can't do it on my own. It needs to be done ASAP, and this is my last ditch effort while I apply for credit cards to try and pay for this on my own.
I have seen go fund me pages where I have wanted to contribute but felt embarassed to only be able to give $5 or $10 dollars and it would hold me back from donating. I am now SO REGRETFUL for ever thinking that way. Money is tight, and I totally understand. Just know that if you could even spare $5 to help with this I would be grateful.
I just need to save my smokey boy. This isn't cancer, this isn't a serious illness that isn't curable, this is just an expensive surgery that I know will fix him and give him many more years with me.
If there is anything you can do, even if you can't give and can only share this with someone, I would be forever greatful.
