Smitten4Kittens Cat Rescue

Help Stacy continue the great work she is doing in cat rescue.

She spends most of her time trapping cats and taking them in for veterinary care, neutering, vaccinations, chipping & FELV/FIV testing for those that will be adopted. Those who are immediately adoptable find homes within days. She fosters those who need time to socialize. She pays for vet services out of her own pocket time and time again. She also doesn't hesitate to help any other animal in need be it dog, bunny or even injured turkeys.

She needs $700 to apply for 501c nonprofit status and a reliable source to cover ongoing food, medication and veterinary costs.

I met Stacy when I posted on the App Nextdoor that a feral cat brought her kittens out and one fell down a pipe. Stacy immediately messaged me that she would take the kittens to foster and socialize. Turned out there were 6. She tamed them, got them fixed and adopted out to good families. She helped me trap & neuter the mother. That's seven cats who will not add to the overpopulation problem. Later, she dropped everything to help me trap 5 cats that just showed up at my house. She fostered and adopted out the 3 kittens, two of them are pictured above.

This last week she trapped a cat with severe abscesses on both sides of his face. He has received vet care and is convalescing. She also trapped a female who has had multiple litters that will be spayed.

Yesterday, after working all day, she spent hours catching 6 kittens at a house in our neighborhood where the owner has so many cats he can't count them, all breeding. She plans to trap & neuter them all, adopt out those who are tame and return those who are feral. The six kittens are all sick with upper respiratory infections and will require veterinary care.

Those of you who complain about cats in your yard should support her efforts to reduce the stray and feral cat populations. This winter, the county actually had a shortage of adoptable cats! Stacy and her fellow rescuers are making a dent in the cat population but it takes work and money.

Kitten season is here! Please help Stacy help them.
