Smith & Konter Families - Immediate Needs

Thank you for your amazing outpouring of love and support for the Smith & Konter families. It means so much during this terribly difficult time ❤️

Bridget Smith-Konter, Jasper Konter, their children, and Bridget's extended family were vacationing in the Southwest this summer. A tragic car accident near Shiprock, NM took the lives of Jasper Konter and Bridget's mom Beth Smith, and left Bridget severely injured. The kids and Bridget's dad Bryan sustained less serious injuries, and they are safe and staying with Bridget's sister's family.

Bridget is undergoing multiple surgeries, to be followed by months of recovery and rehabilitation. The Smith and Konter families are coping with the stunning losses of their spouses, parents, brother, and son, while needing to support Bridget's lengthy recovery. There will be enormous medical expenses, costs for hotel stays, funeral and burial expenses, and mortgage payments to cover with reduced income.

Jasper is survived by his wife Bridget, his children, his father Gerard, and his sister Linda. Beth is survived by her husband Bryan, her daughters Brooke and Bridget, and her grandchildren.
