Our birthdays are coming up soon, and when we log into Facebook they’re sure to remind us by suggesting we should start a fundraiser.
Fundraisers are meant to benefit someone or something that has a need, sometimes urgent, sometimes financially daunting...
Our birthday wish is to be able to give someone we love a smile. You see we need nothing. We have everything we could ever wish for.
This week we got some news about someone that means a lot to us. This very special someone, a hard working young man with a heart of gold, dropped a wrench on his mouth while working on his car and it cracked off most of his tooth. Already struggling and frustrated with his dental state, this was just another blow to his current situation. This kind, loving, and gentle young man has struggled his whole life with dentistry, considered a modern day “luxury”. He’s been the victim of dental malpractice. He was also accused of meth use when he finally mustered the courage to seek help from a dentist. A smile, comfort, and self esteem are not luxuries, they are a necessity of life which we all deserve.
He was given an $80,000 estimate to restore his beautiful smile. As much as we would love to, we know we likely can’t raise $80,000.
However, if we can raise $5,000 or more to help him begin to fix the tooth he broke and start to receive regular dental care, something he’s never been able to do, our birthday wishes would be complete.
We’re asking if you have it in your heart, and are able, please consider donating. Just five dollars from each of our facebook friends, would total $9,525! Five dollars from you can bring a renewed smile to someone forever. Can you help us fulfill our birthday wish? You’d be helping us bring a smile to someone who’s so deserving simply by sparing $5? $10? $20 $100? It would mean the absolute world to us and bring a smile, comfort, and esteem to someone we dearly love. These things we are all deserving of, yet they can seem so unfairly elusive, and out of reach for someone stuggling with their dental health.
It is our promise that any and all donations/birthday gift money will go directly to this young man so he may begin costly dental expenses. He is well aware our intentions. If by some miracle we surpass more money than is needed to restore his smile, all additional funds will be donated to someone else in need of “luxury” dental services.
