My name is Theresa. I was born with a rare congenital disability called Moebius Syndrome. You cannot see my smile because of underdeveloped nerves in my face, but I am smiling on the inside. I love cats, and the picture shows with a cat at the Cat Depot. I take classes there to learn about cats. Unfortunately, my disability makes it hard for me to have a cat of my own. I also write creatively and love going to the theatre and watch plays. Someday I hope to be a famous writer.

 

My father served in the United States Air Force from 1969-1989. He went on two tours of duty, one year in Turkey in late 1970s, and another year in Spain in late 1980s. He served with Special Operations. In 1989, he retired as Technical Sergeant and died in 1993. My mother made arrangements so that I would have a home to live for life. I am responsible for general maintenance. The home is wearing and needs repairs such as new tile in the bathroom, a small roof leak repair and repair of ceiling holes. And new appliances such as a refrigerator and washing machine. I also need a new recliner to help me put on my prosthetic limbs. I also need an updated laptop so that I can write more efficiently. This Gofundme will help me with current repairs and future maintenance.
