SMC Alumni of AZ Scholarship

Hi! My name is Peyton Prebil. My parents are Megan and Mike Prebil & our family has lived in Peoria, Arizona for the last 26 years. Our Gael Family made a dedicated decision to be involved with the SMC AZ Alumni Association when my older sister started her journey at SMC IN 2014. It’s been a lot of fun to attend Gael Events in AZ and meet many Alumni & Students! My parents met their sophomore year at St. Mary’s College in 1985, graduated in 1988 and married in the SMC Chapel in 1992. Little did they know, that one day their three children would attend SMC!  Shannon Prebil (Class of 2018), Michael Prebil II (Class of 2019), and finally ME! (Class of 2024). I’m very proud to announce that I will continue our SMC Family Legacy! My Mom’s Twin Sis and my Dad’s younger Sis are both SMC Grads too! “God is a Gael!”In 2020 I graduated from Sunrise Mountain High School with recognition of perfect grades and maintained a 4.0 all four years! I am currently a Sophomore and studying Communication & Journalism. I finished up my Freshman year at SMC with a 3.95 GPA! A few months ago, I participated in The Weekend of Welcome! It was an excellent leadership opportunity. I really enjoyed assisting with “move in day”for incoming Freshman as well as mentoring them. I am also a member of The SMC Spirit Team and look forward to cheering on our GAELS at sports events! I am honored to accept the Saint Mary’s College Arizona Alumni Association Scholarship Award for my achievements! There is still a $5000 need to help me fill in the tuition gap for the 2021-2022 school year. My Dad has been a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine over the last 25 years. Unfortunately, his income was significantly reduced in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid-19 and staffing issues. My family appreciates your compassion and support! Any donation is a Blessing! GO GAELS!!
