Covid and it's lockdowns have destroyed so many businesses, many of them being in the creative field. The birth photography world has been so badly effected it is not really a viable career right now. The lockdowns destroying peoples lives.

I read a post from Sarah today (her post is below) and it just made me so upset and angry for her, and I had to do something. She has ALWAYS been a voice for all women and now she needs our help and support. She deserves this so much!

She is working non stop on her #endbirthrestrictions campaign and even though she is struggling so much to stay afloat she continues to fight so hard for our rights!!

And this is not just from the current lockdown, businesses have been damaged from the beginning of covid back in march 2020. The same thing happened last year, support people were restricted for women giving birth in hospitals, which meant birth photographers like Sarah could not work. The restrictions slowly got back to normal this year and now BOOM it is worse than it was the first time!

Because of lockdowns she cannot work on any kind of shoots and she doesn't qualify for any government help for her business, because she is on a single parent payment. Living like this is not sustainable for anyone!

Her business is on the brink of collapse. THAT IS NOT OKAY!

"I sit here in my office, crying as I see the business I have worked so hard for disappear before my eyes.

My business has become unviable due to the restrictions our Government is putting on hospitals and small businesses.

I don’t qualify for any covid support from Centrelink because I am receiving the single parenting payment.

Centrelink want me to re-educate myself. Find a new career. Completely reinvest elsewhere in my life. Just let go of my dream and my business.

When will this end? When will people start to stand up and resist this bullshit? How many lives need to be ruined? How many businesses need to go under?

So, I sit here applying for jobs back in the private and public sector. Selling my soul again just to make ends meet.

The government doesn’t want us to thrive. They want us to tread water and just barely make it.

Well you’ve won because I’m drowning.

I’m sick of the hustle. I’m tired of having to think of new ways to make my business work and to market it as fun and okay when it is anything but okay.

Small businesses are fucking dying and ya’ll are just sitting here giving away your freedoms and rights left right and centre.

And how many other people like me are out there?"

After reading that I felt like I needed to help, just to get her through a few months.

We all know lockdowns have severely effected small businesses, there are so many of us being destroyed by these lockdowns. I know we are all struggling and maybe people can't donate much during this time but I had to try anyway, anything will help.

If you can't donate that is totally okay, but if you can please share this.

One more thing, please be kind. I know there are millions suffering, my business is hurting too, but just because there are others in the same situation does not mean that we should not help who we can and those who deserve it!
