Sleep Tight Baby Ava

Dear fellow PMGUK-ers,

We know many of you had followed Ava’s journey from the time she first became unwell with what we thought was a virus to the time she became the youngest baby in the UK on a Berlin heart. We all saw her thrive this summer, enjoying each day with her parents in the Freeman hospital whilst she waited for a heart transplant.

Sadly Ava died on 23/11/2021, just a few days before her first birthday - everyone who knew her or her parents Sonia and Dan is absolutely devastated.

Ava was the bravest baby girl, she faced the biggest battles and never failed to give the cutest smile and giggles. Our bright shining star was taken from us far too soon.

We want to raise money that will go towards remembering her and celebrating her life. We also want to give her mummy and daddy (Sonia and Dan) a small break and some peace from all the other worries in life - even if it’s just for a short while.

Sonia felt very much felt part of the PMGUK community and was comfortable sharing Ava’s journey with you all. We hope we can all rally around her and Dan now to support them during their heartbreaking loss.
