On January 31 Siobhan delivered her third child, Elias. She had an unexpected emergency c-section where a suspect mass was discovered within her colon. After several tests and procedures they diagnosed Siobhan with stage 4 colon cancer that metastasized to the liver. She completed 4 chemotherapy treatments while her body recovered from her c-section. On May 22nd she had a major but successful surgery to remove the large colon mass (about a foot) of her colon and lymph nodes, 25% of her liver, and her gallbladder.
Siobhan is a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, therapist, but most importantly she is a mother. A mother to five year old Violet, three year old Greta, and four month old Elias. Siobhan will need further chemotherapy treatments and will continue her extended leave of absence from her work. We want to help her and her family to be able to continue this journey without the additional worries of everyday living and uncovered medical costs. We want Siobhan to be able to focus on her mind, her body, her spirit, her family, and most importantly fighting to be cancer free.
Your support decreases a burden for her family. It allows her to continue finding joy with her family, especially with her beautiful children, in between the hard days of recovery from surgery, and chemotherapy. Life is never fair or easy, and it is in these times that we are eager to find ways to help those who are in need. If you are able to donate, or not able to donate we above all ask for prayers for Siobhan, Ryan and their kids. Pray that the cancer goes away and never comes back, pray for strength, for courage, for her family, and for her children. Pray that on her hardest days she feels carried and reminded she is never alone.
