SKYLIE STRONG

August 26, 2018 started as a normal day with 2 spunky girls. That evening they were enjoying a family night swimming when things took a turn for the worse. Skylie being her wild, sassy, and fun self wanted to go down the slide into the pool.  As her mom was turning on the water for the slide Sky slipped off of the ladder. A couple of hours later after checking her out multiple times Skylie became completely un-responsive. They drove to IMC to have her evaluated where they then Life Flighted her to Primary Children's. Straight off of the helicopter she was taken into surgery for a Brain Bleed. After a couple of hours in surgery the surgeon came in with news that everyone was hopeful would be a speedy recovery. They said she had a Cyst that had ruptured. They were able to clean it up and other than that her brain looked really good but they would leave the piece of skull out for a few days for monitoring. 

August 29, 2018 Skylie wasn't recovering as planned so they took her in for a MRI to check her brain function and C-Spine.  The MRI came back with some devastating results that she'd had a Stroke and loss of oxygen to her brain. This news was crushing for Jessica and Kendall as they learned their baby would need to learn every life skill all over again. 


Kendall, Jessica, Blaiklee, and Skylie are very blessed with an army of family and friends as they take on the next chapter of their story. However, there will be mass amounts of medical debt, physical therapy supplies, and basic life debts with Jessica and Kendall missing work.
