Eight years ago a small group of family and friends gathered together wanting to do something special for two amazing charities that held a strong place in their hearts; Marie Curie and The Southern Area Hospice Services. A campaign was created known as "The Skip Car Tour". From here, with a lot of hard work from the Skip Car Team and immense support from the local communities the campaign continues to be a growing success to this day. The Skip Car Tour has successfully hosted 7 annual fundraising charity weekends, consisting of The Orchard Truck Run, Tractor Run, Country Music and many more activities in order to raise much needed funds for these amazing local charities, as well as creating fun, charisma and a strong community bond in the area for all walks of life to enjoy.
With the current unprecedented times, unfortunately this years annual charity weekend cannot take place in the well known establishment of Basil Sheils as it has done in previous years. However, Marie Curie and The Southern Area Hospice need our help more than ever, which is why we had to "think outside the box".
This year The Skip Car Tour Presents to you "The Skip Car Virtual Truck & Tractor Run" - This will be something everyone can participate in, from young to old we want your help in making this as our biggest truck run to date. Lets join in convoy in these tough times, keep the spirits high and help us achieve something quite spectacular that has not yet been done before.
