Lung Transplant

Hello my name is Mary and I am 65 yrs old. A short time ago I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis . It is a incurable lung disease with no confirmed cause. I dont smoke , I dont drink, I worked hard all my life so I could enjoy a retirement and play with my grandkids and hike and see my country! Now I carry oxygen everywhere and I have a tank in my home that I am hooked to almost 24/7 I am going to be on the transplant list thru Temple Lung Center in Philladelphia Pa. I know there are so many people in need of help. But i ask for help because my resource are small and I have to travel 3 and 1/2 hrs each way for my test and Dr appointments. Once my transplant happens then I have to stay locally for a while and then travel weekly and then every 2 weeks and so on For several months. There are places to stay at a reduced rate. But this to add up. I will also need round the clock care givers at home for a few months. My insurance doesn't cover this. Every time I have gone on a trip or to Philly my car has broke down. So after each trip I know my car will probably need something. It is a worry. So it has been a financial drain. But worried to be on highway and break down alone. With oxygen I cant walk for any distance. If no cell service I'm stuck. So I need to pay someone to drive me if no friends or family is available. It's hard for people to help me because of their own families and jobs. So I worry about funds to pay for all these things. I have always been the one to give not receive. This is one of the hardest things I need to do is ask for help!. I dont want to take from anyone else's needs that are far greater then my own. Thank You so much for reading and your consideration to help me..
