Sizeze Primary School Renovation Project

Hie there my name is Bonnie. Am fundraising for Sizeze Primary School in Gwanda District, in Matabeleland South Province of Zimbabwe.

The school is now delapitated, it is in dire need of renovations. The doors and windows are unrecognisable, the walls are falling, the old school furniture is in pieces, The villagers of this community are unemployed and elderly of which the school is now beyond their power to repair as they have been maintaining it themselves over the years. Now it has reached a point that it is unrepairable. The funds raised will be for
purchaing new building materials,eg doors, door frames, roofing material,  windows, window frames, and new school furniture eg desks, chairs, classrooms stationery and also solar equipment and panels so the
children can have access to computers, thus putting the school to a good standard which will allow the children to
learn in a suitable environment.
At present their determined teachers are having to teach in cold classrooms as the
school has no proper roof and doors to provide warmth.  Same challenges during the rainy season.  We aim to have repairs done before the rain season begins.

Many children here are orphans, from non income generating households, or being looked after by grandparents who are unemployed. Recently they missed out on laptops donation since the school did not have the appropriate storage facilities. As such funds raised will assist on these developments, allowing these children and their teachers a safe learning environment. As such giving them a good start in life.
