Sirviendo A Los Que Nos Sirven, (Serving Those Who Serve Us) was originally started by two Hermanas of Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. Since then, Hermanas have taken lead on carrying their tradition with the help of several community members to give thanks to our Latinx CDS workers.
Every year, students at UNC Chapel Hill organize Sirviendo A Los Que Nos Sirven, (Serving Those Who Serve Us) to thank Latinx CDS workers for all that they do to make our campus feel like a home. Our Latinx CDS community continuously goes far and beyond to make sure that we are taken care of in the dining halls; by giving us friendly smiles, hugs when we need them, and always encouraging us.
This event’s purpose is to host a dinner, and a special night that honors our CDS workers so that they may feel how grateful we are for them here at UNC.
In order to make this event a success, we need all the help we can get! Any amount donated helps to make this happen. Please help us give back to our Carolina community by donating, thank you!
