Sip in Support of Happy Kids
As Summer turns to Fall, wine grapes turn from green to deep red. Soon, this fruit will be harvested and we will be thanking Nature for another opportunity to turn them into the wine we love so much to make. This is the time of year we realize how fortunate we are; it is the time of year, also, that we get to share with those who have little.
Steven Mirassou and Nancy Castro of Out From Land in Livermore, CA, have gathered with friends and family to Sip in Support of Happy Kids , a grassroots organization that educates, empowers and raises a small group of vulnerable children living in Wegbe, a rural village in Ghana, Africa.
As we cultivate nourishment from the ground we farm, children in Ghana are learning to do the same. For the Happy Kids, sustainable development means survival; it is the root of empowered nutrition. By teaching the children how to cultivate their own land, they have a chance to meet the needs of today while building resources for tomorrow. Your generous donation doesn’t buy a meal for these wonderful kids, it helps them feed themselves for a lifetime!
