In Loving Memory of Alyssa Jade

Hi, my name is Natalie, and I’m fundraising for a close friend Alyssa.

Eiyla was Alyssa’s surprise blessing, a baby she never thought she would have. Alyssa is a 30-year-old single mum to three blessings Elijah, Elizabeth and, of course, Eiyla being the youngest. Alyssa has definitely not had the easiest life regarding her health. It has been one non-stop roller coaster for her, and just when she thought she was out of remission from suffering from Stage 3b breast cancer and having had to undergo a radical mastectomy on the 4th of February 2020, she thought it was all over and that she could start enjoying life with her beautiful babies and her newborn. But then, she started to feel unwell and was in pain. And as much as she wanted to ignore it, she could not. After many appointments and scans, and blood tests, it was with much regret and a heavy heart that her doctor conveyed the news that she had now been diagnosed with Stage 4 Terminal Cancer that had spread to her liver, bones and lymph nodes.

Her prognosis was poor, and all her doctors have told her she should ideally remain in hospital and not to leave. Alyssa has been addiment and strong-willed and since leaving the hospital to be home with her babies and finding out this heartbreaking news, she has started hormone blockers, weekly chemotherapy, a long list of complementary medicines and weekly radiation. The doctors have given Alyssa approximately 1-2 months to live.

Every day is different, and some days are not as bad as others. But with Alyssa’s determination, she’s weaned herself off the recommended morphine used for her pain relief, as she wants to be present with Elijah, Elizabeth & Eiyla as much as she can possibly be. But unfortunately, that doesn’t mean it’s the end; in fact, it is only the beginning of her treatment, which we know will continue to involve intense chemotherapy, radiation, many medications and the possibility of surgery.

Alyssa is currently living with her best friend Paige who is taking on six children and helping with anything Alyssa needs when the days are more complicated than others, and she’s unable to do much. But this adds financial difficulties. Alyssa and the time frame she has been given is heartbreaking and gut-wrenching for all of her closest friends and family, but most importantly for her three babies, Elijah, Elizabeth and Eiyla. We would love nothing else but to see her wishes come true by making the most of the time she has left… but unfortunately were are running out of time, and that’s why we are here asking for your help. Tomorrow is the time together, but it also brings yet another day of suffering and pushes her closer to our last goodbyes. But every day Alyssa fights, and she fights hard.

So we are asking you all to please share this donation request with everyone your know. Please… spread the word. All money raised will finance essential necessities for both Alyssa’s funeral and help significantly towards a variety of necessities for the three children she will leave behind. Money raised will fund Funeral expenses, Family vehicle, legal costs, and any activities and wishes Alyssa has to do with her three beautiful children before she goes. Alyssa is fighting and fighting hard to make it to Eiyla’s first birthday, which is September 15th, and with your help, we could help give her youngest daughter a special 1st birthday we will all remember.
