Help Single Mother of 4 with Spinal Cord Injury

My daughter Casey Kruse, a single mother of 4 has a critical Spinal Cord injury from an auto accident on June 4th, and can really use your help. She was a passenger in an SUV that was hit on the highway and flipped several times. She was immediately air lifted to the Trauma unit with a broken neck between the C5 and C6 vertebrate. Emergency surgery was performed immediately to fuse the vertebrate, but the extent of the damage to her spinal cord is unknown. The original prognosis from the surgeon and neurologist is not very good as she only has limited feeling and movement in her arms. Her hands and the rest of her body have no feeling. From what we are being told it does not look good as only time will tell how much damage there was to the spinal cord and what if any feeling will be restored to her body. With our research and what we are being told by the hospital, whatever movement you had after the broken neck may be the best you get. It is definitely life altering and we are praying for anything she can get back at this time.

Casey was in the process of relocating to Florida to start a new life with her 4 kids, ages 7, 8, 17 and 20. She had already rented a house for herself and her 4 children, and was transferring down from the St. Louis area with her employer. To make matters worse she has no health insurance, or long term disability insurance.

Immediate Future Needs:
1. Extensive Inpatient Rehabilitation
2. Loss of Income
3. Electric Wheelchair
4. Van and wheelchair lift needed for future out patient transportation to Physical and Occupational Therapy

This is going to be a long vigorous journey for her. She just wants to back with her little girls.
