Single mom battling Cancer after losing her only son!

My dear friend Aušra moved to the United States with her only son about 15 years ago, to start a new life for herself and her son Benediktas. She immediately started working and studying to become a Massage Therapist which is her passion.
Aušra is an incredibly strong woman who came half-way around the world to start over in a country she’s never been to, and as a single mother it was extremely hard and challenging.
If you ever ask Aušra how she’s doing, her answer will always be: “Life is good!”
She has always been and continues to be an optimistic person, she built a great life for herself and her son, she loves life! As a therapist people love her, her love shines in so many ways because she always gives the best part of herself, always from the heart!
Her job is her passion, with a smiling face and bright eyes, she brings forth healing energy to all those around her. Her motto: “Life is good!”
Aušra is someone who loves to live life to the fullest!
She’s an avid yoga and mindfulness practitioner, meditator, a holistic health advocate, and loves sunrises:)
Life has been good until one day changed everything!
The day she lost her only son Benediktas at the age of 23 to a tragic car accident on September 28, 2017! Something no mother should ever endure!
Aušra was devastated as Benediktas meant the world to her! Her eyes and heart were broken into pieces, so much pain and grief to handle, yet she moved on with a burning heart and learned to live with the tragedy!
A permanent pain of her lost son and a painful memory of a lost motherhood left their impact! A year later Aušra was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer !
She is determined to beat Cancer with that same strong drive she’s had all her life and refuses to give up. She has been through 16 Chemotherapy treatments, still working even on her treatment days, continues to exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle, and is doing everything she can to beat this horrible disease!
With her healthy lifestyle, sense of humour and love for life, it was hard to imagine this could happen to her!
She is so energetic and positive, she puts her heart and soul into everything she does!
Stay strong, keep working, praying and exercising.
Continue to be there on the beach to see the sunrise, to smile at the sun’s first smile!

Cancer Timeline :

- June 2019 diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, ES+, CHEK2+ and Metastatic

Carcinoma to lymph nodes.

- August 28, 2019 received first of 16 Chemotherapy treatments.

- February 5, 2020 Partial mastectomy of left breast and removal of 4 lymph nodes. (Not successful)

- February 12, 2020 second surgery for removal of more cancerous breast tissue

- Ongoing treatments yet not the end of her journey with Cancer….

What the funds will be used for:

- Money raised will be solely used for medical expenses, treatments and medications that she needs to beat Cancer
