Single mom and kids need to move in 60 days

UPDATE: We are waiting for their official 60 day move out notice. The mold test came back positive and that is being treated next week. We still need help making this move happen and would be so grateful for any help financially and with finding a 3 bedroom rental that will allow a cat. We re-homed our rescue dog - mainly due to the fact that finding a rental with multiple pets is challenging and more expensive. Thanks for your support. 


I need angels, I need prayers and I need ideas. I have been in this rental for a little over a year - post a very challenging divorce.  Still feels like I am not completely settled and grieving the loss of my home where I raised my kids.  This rental house is older and has had some issues. After always paying my rent on time, investing in the property and dealing very amicably with my landlord to deal with a sewage leak, unhealthy air (most likely mold) and some other issues  - I just learned I am being given a "30 day move out notice” so they can sell the house. This is a family trust and my landlord has given zero indication that this was even a thought. I am shocked and stunned and feel like there are stars circling my head. I need to be still and sit in this. I know the universe will answer. But I am gonna need some help, guys. The kids are just starting school. We have pets.  We are trying to find balance as a 2 household family,  and trying to figure out how to build income when things are stalled during Covid - 19.   Oh yeah, we are in a pandemic and everything is so uncertain. I need a miracle. I am so sad to tell my kids. I need to cry and get centered. If you know something about tenant's rights…or know someone who I can talk to, please message me. UPDATE! Thanks to this amazing community I have learned that it is illegal to do what they are doing. I should at least have 60 days - which is still overwhelming but definitely helpful. I had a mold test done today and will get results back next week and hope to have more info on what steps I can take to make the best of this situation. It does feel as though there was a knee jerk reaction (on their part) to make sure the environment is healthy. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP AND SPREADING THE WORD. - Christa
