Simpkins Daughter's Medical Bills

Donation protected
Rob and Michelle Simpkins have both consistantly been selfless servants in the Crofton community.  They are currently racking up sizeable medical bills from their daughter's emergency room visits, tests and hospital stays.  Their daughter has been in and out of the emergency room in recently with severe pains in her abdomen.  Each time, the doctors were unable to determine the cause.  When her pain became severe, a few nights ago, she was admitted to Anne Arundel Medical Center for testing and observation.  Today, the doctors finally determined that she had an intestinal malrotation that would require surgery to repair but they explained that it may be next Monday before they can fit her into their surgery schedule.  Yesterday, their sweet girl spent her 14th birthday in the hospital in pain and she remains there now.

Rob and Michelle spend all of their free time (and then some) ensuring our local Cub Scouts Pack 111 is running smoothly.  Even after their son moved from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts, Rob volunteered to serve as the CubMasterof our pack (though none of his children were even in the pack anymore and he was working hard helping in his son's new Boy Scouts Troop).  Furthermore, when Pack 111 had a large group of Tigers (1st grader boys) who needed a den leader, Rob selflessly volunteered to ALSO be the Tigers Den Leader so that these boys could be a part of Cub Scouts.  Michelle is absolutely the wind beneath Rob's wings who does all of the hard work behind the scenes without any official title or recognition.  She is constantly communicating with the den leaders in the pack to see how she can help make their jobs easier.  This family is simply the epitomy of selfless.  They love serving our community and they are the most honorable people you could hope to know.

The Simpkins family have one income to cover all of these medical expenses just weeks before Christmas. Consequently, the deductibles and co-pays will be very difficult for them to cover, though I know they would never mention that. If each of us who have been impacted by their selfless service to our family, our Scouts and our community could donate even a few dollars, it would absolutely make this crisis so much easier on the Simpkins family and would show them just how much their service to our community really means to each of us.
