Simba's Tests and Treatments

Hi, my name is Carla and I need some help – I want to start by saying I would never have imagined that I would need to do something like this, and this really is a last resort.

Simba is my dog, he is 6 years old and I rescued him from terrible living conditions 5 years ago whilst volunteering for a local animal charity. When I first saw him, I knew he was special and even though he had been treated badly he is the sweetest calmest dog I have ever met.

Simba is now a trained therapy dog, he ‘works’ with me at a dance school in Warrington, providing emotional support to the children who attend. Simba is the most intuitive dog I have ever met, he knows when someone is feeling down and gravitates toward them. He means an awful lot to the children and all those he has met and helped. He has also helped me through a really tough time in my own life and has been by my side – he really is a special dog.

Unfortunately for the last few months, Simba has been out of action due to a problem with his legs. He had an operation on his cruciate ligament in Nov last year which along with the tests cost thousands of pounds. The insurance I have for him has now exceeded the limit and my savings are now spent to try to get him back to full health. Simba needs more tests and another operation as a minimum. The vet has estimated I need to plan for costs of around £7k between now and when my insurance year renews at the end of the year.

This is where I really need your help (and the bit I have struggled to write) – I have set up a crowdfund for Simba’s vet bills and I am asking for donations, however small to help fund Simba’s care. Every little will help and I hope that I can raise enough to get him over the next hurdle and tests whilst I look to do everything I can to raise the balance. Simba means so much to so many people I have to give him the chance he deserves for a happy and pain-free life.
