Sikh Paintings across 80 Villages of Panjab

Dear Sangat ji,

This fundraiser is for SAF International - a registered Canadian Sikh organization that is actively working across 200 villages of Panjab since 2014.

Each donation of $1000 covers 8-10 wall-size mural paintings across 8 villages of Panjab.

Why is this needed?

World's renowned professors and researchers often say that what you see and hear is what you will become - Gurbani sheds light some with bigger than this research. Maharaj jee says, what you see, hear and partake in becomes your 'karam' thus ultimately, you will be doing that sometime in your lifespan.

We know work like this is nothing new but it hasn't happened like we are planning on doing. We plan to choose a cluster of 8 villages within one locality and paint them with the Sikhi way of life through our history. With the ongoing increase of social media and other parchaar mediums, this will present a visualization that those villagers will see for the next 4-5 years of the mural lifespan.

Goal!

Once reached our goal of $10,000 here - we would have enough funds to have at least 1 Sikh history painting in 80 villages connecting the young with the great history of ours.

Helping Sikh Artists

A secondary impact your donation makes is empowering young Sikh artists and encouraging others to join.

Creating Jobs

Another ripple effect of this fundraiser - it will provide a job to three artists for five months.

Basically, 80% of the funds raised here will go towards artist's salary and the remainder 20% in supplies.

SAF International will be covering all other expenses related to fundraising, transportation, food and lodging for the artists.
