HELP MAX {Winston} ‘SEE’ AGAIN.
We are looking for your generosity and support to help our RESCUE boy to see the world again.
OUR STORY:
We met {Winston} early days of December last year (2017). He had found himself in a spot of bother and in the pound a little worse for wear. He was kept in this holding facility for ‘well over’ the usual holding period and his welfare and future was looking very bleak. Confined to a caged area with a concrete floor, left day after day, night after night, no-one came forward to collect him.
Not registered, not chipped, no tag, no name - HOMELESS! Thankfully Cavalier Rescue QLD stepped in and saved his life in the nick of time and we took him straight into our home and care.
He is blind, deaf, was very underweight, had rotten infected teeth (now most teeth removed) and had numerous other ailments which have since been seen to with veterinary care.
So fast forward to today........ and he is doing great with his recovery. We have officially adopted him into our hearts and home. He’s gained his appetite back and put on some much needed weight and he now goes by the name of MAX. He now sleeps ‘very well’ (usually upside down) and has his snoring back like a freight train. Our priority is his wellbeing and to ensure he now feels safe and loved.
Recently we took Max to an Eye Specialist for a health checkup and it turns out that he could have his vision restored with the removal of his cataracts. The Vet Specialist is very confident that Max could regain long-term vision of around 90-95%. At the moment he has ‘NO vision’ and ‘NO hearing’ so to be able to restore ‘one’ of these vital key senses would be life changing for him and provide him with an extended, better quality of life.
