Sierra's Stem Cell Treatments

Donation protected
Sierra Brooke was born on April 8, 2010.  She was five pounds seven ounces, and a healthy baby.  Today Sierra is almost eight years old, and has grown into a beautiful, loving, sweet, and vibrant little girl, whose tenacity is inspiring to all that know her.  Despite the obstacles Sierra faces on a daily basis, she often compensates and it is her great determination to overcome these challenges.  Sierra was given multiple diagnosis.  She is faced with global apraxia, in her limbs and oral motor, sensory integration disorder, and auto-immune induced neurological issues, some may refer to as autism.  Sierra has a delay in sensation and because of this, she cannot feel certain temperatures and sensations in her body right away.  Because of this, she wears pull ups during the day, understanding cognitively that she needs to go, but the delay is causing her to not get there on time.  Sierra's comprehension in understanding far exceeds her expressive.  Words do not come easily for her, and she has a severe apraxic component.  She is alert and social, and loves being out, and enjoys people and exploring new territories.  When she doesn't feel good due to brain inflammation, and viruses she may not function well, and this compromised sensation causes her to cry more excessively at times, and have outbursts.  She is atypical, and it is her inner strength and will power, that we believe helps her greatly, and because of this, she has the capacity to overcome great challenges. We are asking graciously for your support.  Sierra was able to receive stem cells at Panama Stem Cell Clinic, in August of 2017.  She has made some positive changes, however, we are informed by the doctors there that she will need more than one treatment as to the severity of her challenges.  So, we will need to go again.  Anything you are willing to offer to us, we are truly grateful for.  We pray for our daughter to live an independent and fulfilling life--To be heard, and valued, respectfully.  The simple things, we oft take for granted.
We appreciate your support.  Our hope is for Sierra to know (and BELIEVE she CAN DO THIS), whatever it may be... with the most love, and the greatest determination.  Thank you with all our hearts.  Marni, Andrew, and of course, Sierra, and our pup Maggie.
