Siegfried's Surgery

This morning, right before I left for work, I noticed that my dog Siegfried was acting strangely. He didn't want to go outside, and whined when I tried to put his collar on, as if it hurt him. When I touched him, I noticed that he was shivering. Naturally, I was worried and took him to the vet. The vet told me that he had a growth on his spleen that was causing him a lot of pain, and that he needed to have it operated on, whether or not it was malignant. She said it would be up to $2800 for the surgery. I don't have that kind of money right now, but I told her to go through with it because I love Siegfried and want him to get better soon.

Those of you who know me know that I absolutely hate asking for financial help, or really for any help at all, but I've decided that it's necessary to avoid almost $3000 in credit card debt. I will likely have to use a credit card when I pick him up tomorrow, but anything you can spare to help me pay off what I'll have to spend on his surgery would be immensely appreciated.
