In November of 2017, Laurie was diagnosed with colon cancer. By the time she received the diagnosis, the cancer had spread to her liver, lungs and lymph system. Currently, Laurie is undergoing aggressive chemotherapy every two weeks to shrink the cancer. We all have great hope that the treatments will work; she is getting stronger day-by-day!
Previous to being diagnosed, Laurie worked a part-time job for the Census Bureau (don’t hold that against her) and a job as a volleyball official. Even though these were part-time jobs, they were an important source of income that she now doesn’t have. Not only does she no longer have an income stream, but also her treatments are very costly!
The money you donate will go directly toward paying her medical bills for her cancer treatments.
