Shoe Box Composer's Concerts

Shoe Box Composer's Concerts was founded to create more opportunities for emerging composers to write pieces for diverse instrumentations and hear them played live. The idea is to get a different instrumentation for each concert that a group of composers will each write for. The dream would be to eventually have workshop sessions with the ensemble in the weeks leading up to the concert so that composers can try new things and hear how they sound.

However, we are doing this without any grant money, which means a lot of donated time & energy from everyone involved, especially the performers. This GoFundMe is dedicated to paying the performers as much as possible, funding rehearsal time and, eventually, workshop sessions.
