Our dear brother and friend Shivam Patel, 32, of Old Bridge, NJ unexpectedly passed away on September 13, 2020. Shivam was the son of Suresh and Rama Patel. After attending Old Bridge High School, Shivam went on to briefly study at NJIT in Newark, NJ. He quickly realized his true passion was automobiles and motorcycles and decided to focus his life in that direction. This line of work made him genuinely happy.
His family will remember him as devoted son and father. He brought his mother to the Swaminarayan temple every week without fail. His favorite food was eating his mother’s typical Gujarati dinner (Daal, Bhaat, Rotli, Shaak). He was the type of person who would choose to repair something over buying a new one. He valued hard work, honesty, and loyalty. To his daughter, he was loving, gentle and fair. He made sure to instill his values on her as well as the importance of family. To his wife, he was loving and caring. He made it a priority to keep the romance alive, and always wanted to put his wife before himself.
Shivam is a survived by his loving wife Chintal, his daughter Saanvi; and his mother Rama.

We are the Youth Group from the Vadtal Dham Swaminarayan temple in Somerset, NJ - Shivam's place of worship. The group is composed of many of Shivam's relatives and closest friends. Your contributions will go directly to his wife, Chintal Patel to help with end of life costs and future expenses.
