Shirley's Leukemia Battle Fund

Donation protected
Shirley Orcutt was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) on December 28, 2017.  Shirley has always been a hard working, independant woman so her sudden diagnosis came as a surprise.  Running a small farm and household has kept her busy for many years and AML  has taken that from her.  She suffers from Hashimoto's Disease so her immune system was already compromised when this diagnosis arrived.  Her chemotherapy treatment began on December 31st and will require a minimum of a month in the hospital, then treatment for up to year afterward with the possibility of a bone marrow transplant in addition.  She'll be out of work for at least that long.  While her road is long, she is a tough bird and we are hopeful for a positive outcome.  Over the next year she will have many expenses surrounding her treatment and recovery.  We are looking to raise money for both immediate use and to help Shirley get through the next 12 months.  These funds will allow her to focus on healing her body and battling this rare and terrible cancer and help ease her financial burdon.  Your help is greatly appreciated by Shirley, her children and grandchildren.  No amount is too big or too small.  Please share with as many people as possible.  Thank you so much! #CancerSucks
