Shirley Needs a New Liver

Shirley has got the call to go to Edmonton to meet with the liver transplant team. We have been told that she may be eligible for a new liver. This trip to Edmonton in January will determine the next steps for Shirley’s recovery. Earlier this year Shirley was diagnosed with Alpha 1 Antitripsin Deficiency. Alpha 1 is a hereditary disease that is passed on from parents to children through genes. This condition may result in serious lung disease in adults and/or liver disease in infants,children and adults. We are looking for your help as there will be a number of trips to Edmonton throughout this medical journey.
