Shirlee’s Breast Cancer Battle

Breast Cancer. The words that no one ever wants to hear. For my best friend Shirlee this is her third battle with this insidious disease. The third time a doctor has said those words to her. But the words won’t define her. It won’t change her. It won’t win.

Shirlee has been my soul sister for over 30 years. She is a mother, a grandmother, a friend, an amazing woman inside and out. Being a single woman who relies upon working to support herself, makes this diagnosis again all the more difficult. This go round with the most aggressive form of breast cancer, Triple Negative, she will need a double mastectomy in mid November. Major surgery that will require quite some time to heal. After the surgery then comes another round of chemo. Then more surgery.

This extraordinary woman is prepared to battle but she needs our financial help with the bills that will pile up while she is fighting for her life . Can you help by donating what you can and by sharing her story with others.
