Tom & Melissa live very physical lives... Stuff is important.. Tools for work, Gear for training, Computers & Clothes & Motorcycles... Oh MY!
When I thought of what to 'GET' this couple for a wedding gift... the only thing that came to mind was George Carlin's "A place for my stuff" routine....
So.. the idea was born.. Let's get them a place for their stuff. They won't have a house for a while.. but they'll need access to a lot of their gear, tools and accouterments... And it should be close at hand.. AND MOUSEPROOF!
A 40ft overseas shipping container fits the bill perfectly.. it's dry, it's huge!... it's mouse proof.. and when they're done with it.. they can fashion it into a 'Tiny House'... for guests/family to visit....
So rather than give them more 'Stuff'... let's pitch in.. and give them "a place for their stuff.".... Nothing says "We Love You".. quite like minimalism...
The monetary goal for this campaign is the average cost of having a 40ft shipping container delivered to the property. Let's make these 'Crazy Kids' lives a little easier... and love them up... with an unconventional yet eminently practical gift that will keep giving for years to come.... The only thing that lasts longer than a dry shipping container will be their love for one another... <3
