Shine Our Love on Bethanie

Bethanie is a shining life force, exuding generosity and personifying optimism. In the 10+ years I’ve been blessed to know her, she has hosted foreign exchange students, rescued / fostered numerous pets with exceptional needs, and been the first to volunteer to lend a helping hand to anyone - ANYONE - she heard a mention of needing help. Her passions for public speaking, theater, animals, celebrating friends, cooking, and hosting have her traveling throughout SE Wisconsin to serve on boards, committees, and share her joie de vivre. Her stunning dedication as a single parent - volunteering to support her children’s passions, school activities, and extracurriculars in ADDITION to driving / organizing fundraisers / serving on associated committees - have shone her light and passion to parents in our district as well as First Stage and Random Lake. NO or I CAN’T are words that so seldom cross her lips that people stop in their tracks in those rare moments she has to decline a request.
Over the last several years Bethanie has experienced escalating health issues. Paired with the demands of her children’s concerns, her sick time is tapped out. At this point she is in the hospital for an extended time, and has been unable to work for over two months. Prior to this she was already working an adjusted schedule to accommodate her decreased mobility, pain and medical appointments.
Financially the stress is extraordinary. Her rent is going up; she’s been unable to work; she might not be able to continue to participate in her secondary revenue stream that significantly augments her typical monthly income. As of today, Bethanie’s hip replacement surgery is on hold pending resolution of other significant health issues - she is in persistent pain and unable to participate in basic daily activities. She filed for disability, but does not qualify.
Throughout all of this extraordinary stress her light is dimmed, but not out.

Monies raised will defray daily living and medical expenses; support any day to day expenses she needs help covering. Bethanie will have 100% control / oversight of these monies.
