Sherry Lance Pearcy and Family

The morning of June 22, 2017 Sherry Pearcy suffered a severe stroke.

She is currently at St. Josephs in Tacoma, WA getting the care needed and will be moved into a re-habilitation facility in the near future.

Sherry's stroke has left her completely paralyzed on her left side, the prognosis is guarded at this time but it is expected that with extensive physical therapy she will regain some use of her left side again.

Fortunately Sherry has adequate insurance and her care should be covered well, but with these unexpected events other things are not covered.  Sherry is a stay at home mom, Rob works full time in construction with no benefits which means no FMLA, vacation or PTO time available.  Joslynn their 9-year-old daughter is now out of school and will need to have a place to go during the day while Rob is at work and or going back and forth to the hospital and re-hab.  

Joslynn is holding up very well, she is showing great maturity during this time and is a great support to dad!!  We have found a program through Tacoma Parks that offers a financial aid to families in need and this will help Joslynn be able to attend summer camp at the Center at Norpoint near their home.  This will only cover 1 month at the most and Sherry will be in treatment for what is expected to be the summer and beyond.

I am starting the Go Fund Me for my little brother to help with the expenses to take care of Joslynn and cover for his lost time at work.  It will be vital for Rob and Sherry to know that Joslynn is in a safe and nurturing place during Sherry's treatment and while Rob is at work.
