Sheri Inman's Funeral Expenses

Sheri Inman was my friend and neighbor here in downtown Somerset, KY. I came to know her through her sons, Tyler (22) and Jordan (20), both of whom had been my English students when I taught at Somerset High School.
Sheri overcame a series of tragedies beginning with her husband going to prison and she and her family being evicted from their apartment. From that point, her family was separated with she and Tyler living in a remote area of Garland Bend, KY, and Jordan lived with friends and others who would take him in and keep him near his job at Kroger in downtown Somerset. Sheri struggled with debilitating back pain from several surgeries, and then she developed severe diabetes 6 years ago. The diabetes caused her to lose her leg in February 2017. In spite of these many challenges, Sheri stayed positive and had a wonderful sense of humor. She constantly pranked her sons and joked with them in spite of her disabilities and chronic pain.
Her life had improved recently with she and her sons renting a home in downtown. She also had finally gotten an artificial leg and was learning to walk on it successfully. Then, sadly on January 1st, she died in her sleep. Her sons are reeling from the loss and have no emergency funds to pay for her burial and funeral expenses. The funds that are raised will go directly to the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Her funeral will be this Friday, but the facility will allow the family to make payments.
