Sheldon Bergstrom Family Legacy Fund

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, our world became darker, as Sheldon Bergstrom took his final breath.

Less than two weeks earlier, Sheldon fell and broke his arm while away from home with Dawn on a work trip. He developed an infection which devolved into sepsis, resulting in major organ failure. Unfortunately, the stress on his body was too much, and despite the tremendous care of the medical staff in ICU at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Sheldon sadly passed away at the age of 51, with loved ones by his side.

Sheldon loved and was loved by everyone he met and people have been asking what they can possibly do to help his wife Dawn through this difficult time and how they can honour his memory. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to assist Dawn during this time and to eventually set up a scholarship in Sheldon’s name to assist emerging young artists in their careers, something he always felt passionate about.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and care and have been moved to read the many tributes to Sheldon posted from those who loved him, across Canada and the world. We hope you will continue to keep his memory alive through song and laughter, and cherishing those you love.
