Hi. My name is Sheena. I am 36 years old and have just been diagnosed with stage 2 invasive breast cancer. I will have to undergo more surgeries, chemo and radiation over the next almost 6 or more months. And along with this diagnosis comes many unexpected expenses in such a short amount of time. I am a bartender so I do not have any Fmla or sick pay for the days I will miss work, i do have insurance but i will still have unexpected medical bills I will face And all of the unknown that is yet to come. I am a single mom with a beautiful 9 year old daughter and I definitely do want to have one more child but I was told in the future this will lead to the risk of no longer being able to have children if I don’t plan ahead so with that said, I have about 3 weeks to raise enough money(about $8,000) to freeze my eggs in order to give me the chance to be able to have another child in the future. Anyone that knows me, knows I am an independent woman and i had to completely humble myself to even make this go fund me. But I know I just can’t do it alone this time.
