Sheehan's Medical Fund

My brother, Sheehan Demetillo, had  VP shunt failure over a week ago due to complications. He had a brain tumor surgery back in 2004 that resulted to hydrocephalus that's why doctors had to put a vp shunt from his brain going to his stomach to relieve pressure from the build-up of cerebral fluid.

As of now he had 2 brain surgeries already (vp shunting, endoscopic septostomy and a new vp shunting on July 17 ) and 3 more medical procedures ( 2 shunt tap and a shunt externalization). And now we are facing another challenge. The doctors found out that he has an infection in his vp shunt blocking the flow of the cerebral liquid and some traces of bacteria in his blood. This bacteria called klebsiella oxytoca is drug-resistant  thus making the treatment options more limited. The doctors said that he might undergo another surgery to replace the new shunt because it might have been infected by the bacteria. He is currently taking high-dosage of antibiotics.

Please pray for strength as his body and immune system is getting weaker. Pray that the infection won't spread into his bloodstream and that the doctors will be able to diagnosed the primary cause of his increasing hydrocephalus.
