Shea's Explore STEM Program

THE NOMINATION
Shea was nominated by Ms. Sherlyn Medlin at Arborbrook Christian Academy to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Explore STEM, an Envision program for middle school students to be held this summer. He was personally selected by Ms. Medlin to represent his school and community based upon his academic potential and interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math often referred to as the STEM fields.
After researching the program, he was excited to accept the invitiation and will be headed to Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia the week of July 17-22, 2017.
FINANCES & FUNDRAISING
The cost of the program is $2495 which includes all curriculum and instruction, program activities, site visits and events, overnight housing, program materials, at least two meals a day, a Certificate of Completion, and local transportation during the program.
Shea will be activitley involved in helping raise the funds needed by working with Legacy Sports as an Assistant Coach for multiple camps and academies.
However, since the overall cost exceeds our budget, we are asking you to consider helping invest in Shea's future but making a financial contribution. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
