IVF Treatment

Hello. My name is Kara Lucas and my husbands name is Jordan. Through lots of prayer, procedures, treatments, medicines, and time we have recently learned that the only way we will be successful in having a child is through IVF treatment (In-Vitro Fertilization). We have struggled so much in the decision to create a GoFund Me for this because we did not want to seem needy. We had decided that if we could not afford it on our own, we could not do it. That was a very foolish way of thinking and left us with much heartbreak. We did not want to leave anyone with the impression that we are not “financially capable” of caring for a child. The fact of the matter is this: Not many women are diagnosed with Stage 4 endometriosis at the the young age of 21. Not many couples as young as us have to have this treatment. And lastly, most people our age do not have to consider paying over 20,000 dollars in order to have their babies. Due to my condition, my time to conceive is very limited. I have already undergone two surgeries for the removal of the endometriosis with the last one being in late July of 2019. Since this past surgery, I already have two very large endometriomas (endometriosis cysts) growing on my left ovary, and that same ovary has also grown into my uterus. I have had countless issues with my Fallopian tubes as well, since the endometriosis ties them down frequently. We have undergone multiple cycles of IUI with hormones and ovulation stimulants as well with no success. At this point, we have been trying for almost 3 years with zero success and have spent at least $10,000 in medical bills/treatments/procedures. We have set the goal at $15,000 because we have been saving some money on our own as well. If we got even remotely close to this, it would be life changing. Again, this was such a huge decision on our part and if no one is interested in donating, we completely understand. We thank you so much for even taking the time to read this and God bless.
