So my name is Shayne Pagles and here is my story in a nut shell. I'm 39, divorced dad with a dog and an average job. I have been involved in and competed in just about every form of racing you can think of from tricycles to pro off road race trucks and am pretty damn good (at tricycles.) I was on my way up the ranks in pro truck racing with my own largely self funded team against corporate funded pro's until 2005. One bad expensive season coupled with a crashed economy left me selling my team to pay off all my credit card debt from supporting an underfunded team. Friends and family were there to help but without deep pockets we were doomed.
Fast forward to present day, with my two wonderful kids by my side and my divorce and debt behind me it's time for me to get back into a race car. This season I am looking to fund will have me competing in the traxxas TORC sportsman off road series in a buggy class that I am very experienced and extremely competitive in. Aside from just getting back into racing I am looking forward to raising my kids around motor sports and bringing my entire family back together like we were before I had to quit. Racing has a way of pulling people together and building strong relationships with others, in my case it was with my family and I miss it greatly.
The money I am asking for will get me in a car for the 2015 season which is televised and broadcast live via intenet. Prep work and maintenance throughout the season will be performed by me and my team of minions. All contributes after all levels can watch our progress through live feed broadcasts, updates on my website and Facebook page. ALL funders of the team will have their name listed on the car with larger contributes of $50 or more getting a team t-shirt. Team members contributing $2500 or more can consider themselves associate sponsors and will receive a 12"x14" spot on the car for advertisement (space is very limited. ) Team members with a contribution of $8000 or more(only one available) will have sole rights to corporate level sponsorship and receive 75% of the available body space for product advertisement and get to choose the overall color and theme of the car and also receive the vehicle for promotional events.
Off road racing is a great sport to compete in and this is a fun and easy way to get involved and be a part of the action. At any level from $1 to $10,000 we are all a team, so let's team up and go have some fun.
