Hello everyone my name is Shawn. I was born in 1972 three months premature and not expected to live. As a result of being born 3 months premature, I have lived my entire life with a condition called cerebral palsy. This condition has made me a quadriplegic which means my disability affects all four of my limbs. However my legs are the most affected so I've lived my entire life confined to a manual wheelchair. Despite the hurdles that my disability creates with the support of my family and friends I have been able to obtain a master's degree which I use to counsel underprivileged kids as they pursue their goal of higher education.
Because I have no use of my legs my arms are my only form of transportation or movement for all the things I do throughout the day. This constant use has created a tremendous amount of wear and tear on my shoulder joints. After experiencing excruciating pain for months on end .I finally went to the doctor to see if he/she could provide me any relief. He told me that if I did not change the way I moved significantly I was absolutely headed for double shoulder replacement. It goes without saying that if this were to happen I would be completely immobile for nearly 18 months. So I immediately began to look for something that would allow me to move and free at the use of my hands and arms for meaningful but less strenuous activities. That's when I found the Ogo.
This revolutionary transportation device would allow me to move without any use of my arms or shoulders thus eliminating the need for replacement surgery. It would also give me Freedom that I've never experienced. Using such a device would allow me to keep up with my family without the assistance or necessity of my daughter's or wife having to push me. It would also make places and locations that are now inaccessible to me. vacations

I would be able to go places with my wife and move hand and hand something that I've never had the opportunity to do before.
