Sullivans Shave Or Dye For Sligo Oncology

Donation protected
On April 2017, I was diagnosed with stage 3 hodgkin's lymphoma when getting the results of a blood test followed by a scan.  I was then rushed into surgery to do a biopsy on my neck to fully confirm my illness and start chemotherapy as soon as possible.
Starting chemo for the first time was an unusual experience for me but the oncology team brought me in and treated me like family and took the edge off the situation. My first cycle of chemo only got rid of the tumor in my spline , but didnt act as well to my chest and neck.
Because the first cycle didnt effect all areas it was time for a stronger treatment. This was alot harder hitting than the first cycle as my hair started to fall out, I lost my apetite with a big weight loss and was only awake for very few hours of the day before going back to sleep. But once again with the help of the oncology team it made life alot easier it was nearly like having a second family taking care of me.
The third treatment was clinical trial in St James' , Dublin where I underwent heart surgery and being in an isoation unit for 4 weeks undergoing more chemo and stem cell harvesting. This worked at last and I was on my way back to normality.
But this fundraiser is mainly about the support the Sligo team gave me through my journey. And especially getting me into the clinical trial which was difficult to get into.
So any donation would be highly appreciated and will go along way in helping others who are going through the same journey as I did.
