Shave for Kelly

My brave and beautiful friend, Kelly Chapman, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 29 years old on 11th July 2017. Kelly and her husband Matt are proud parents of now 1 year old, Oscar.
Since diagnosis Kelly has undergone harvesting of her own eggs in the hopes of possibly having another child someday, undergone initial breast cancer surgery followed up by 5 months of chemotheray consisting of 6 rounds, lengthy hospital stays due to side effects from chemotherapy and much precious time away from her son while her family and friends stay vigil by her side providing support to Kelly, her husband and son.
Sadly, Kelly's fight is not over yet. She still has two further surgeries ahead in 2018 - a double mastectomy followed by breast reconstruction surgery.
There is a huge financial cost to cancer, gap fees where each surgery can cost the couple thousands of dollars, medical bills from hospital stays, medications and cancer treatments, not to mention basic daily living.
As Kelly is unable to work through most of her treatment, this has placed the family under great financial stress that no person needs while undergoing the already stressful battle of fighting such a serious illness.
Kelly's cancer battle has hit my heart very close to home as in early 2016 I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and underwent surgery and radiation followed by drug therapy. Lucky for me I dodged the chemo ball. However my experience was enough to learn the harsh reality of the emotional and financial stress this illness places you under.
As one person I can give a small donation of money, or, I thought, I can rally a cause for as many individuals as I can to each give a little. Then combined, we can give some real financial relief to Kelly and her husband to help take some of that stress away during the coming months and possibly years ahead of fighting this awful disease.
Therefore, I pledge to shave off my long blonde hair in an effort to raise a tonne of money for Kelly in the process.
I'm also very happy to donate my hair for wigs.
