One week ago on September 8, 2017 my beautiful mother, Sharyn Sakimoto, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Yesterday we learned that it is an extremely rare sub-type of breast cancer that may be difficult to treat.
Already the bills are piling up... from estrogen blocker medication to countless tests that need to be done all in the next few weeks before they can start chemo. Unfortunately, she needs to meet her fairly high deductable before any of this can be covered by insurance and the medical community is expecting her to pay cash upfront for many of these tests.
If you know Shayrn, you know just how giving she has always been throughout her church and community. If you are one that has been blessed by her life and her many gifts, we ask that you give only what is on your heart to give. All funds will be given directly to my parents to assist them in reaching their deductable. If we surpass this goal, the monies will be used to supplement lost wages and to pay for other procedures not covered by insurance. If you cannot give financially, please join the family as we fervently pray that God would meet my mom in her fears and her pain and give her courage and peace.
Though we are saddened by this diagnosis and hate to see such an incredible women suffer, we are hopeful that she will make a full recovery! We will put our complete trust in the Lord in the weeks and months to come as we walk alongside her through this battle!
