Sharon Bell’s Help Fund to Battle Cancer

Donation protected
Hello, All, it’s Tim Bell!

First off, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this and consider helping my wife, Sharon (Bowles) Bell, the love of my life, my soulmate.

Sharon is very sick with her second battle of Anal Cancer or as we like to call it “ass cancer” — to bring a little bit of laughter in our lives as it is needed. She is the mother of four, with our youngest child just graduating 8th grade.

She was the Publisher of TheBayNet.com up until February of this year when she became too weak and ill to get out of bed much less work.

It started in December of 2017 when Sharon began to lose weight without trying and became very tired and lethargic. She went to many doctors, but they could not find anything wrong with her.

In 2018, she had two colonoscopies that were both normal and a CT that was normal. Sharon has now lost over 50 pounds and weighs about 86 Lbs.

Sharon was desperate to find out what was wrong and finally ended up at the Oncologist. The Oncologist orders a pet scan, But the insurance company did not think she needed one and declined it. The Doctors (4 of them) assisted us in fighting the insurance company it took from January through March to get the insurance company to approve the scan. They did not think she was sick enough for them to pay for the cost of the scan.

So, in March she finally gets the approval and has the pet which shows she has cancer again, the same type and location as the previous cancer, which was over ten years ago. Currently, there is no cure for this terrible cancer.

After ten years, cancer has returned, but this time, she cannot do the traditional treatment as your body can only have so much radiation, and this cancer requires an excessive amount of radiation to treat it. Since she has had this cancer before she has already received the maximum amount of radiation. Sharon may be doing some chemo and other treatments. We have decided that she will be going into research programs. There are other drugs and treatments not funded by insurance that we will try.

Unfortunately, the cost of the treatment will be out of pocket as the insurance company does not yet approve it. This cost will be detrimental to our current financial situation, especially since Sharon hasn’t been able to work and probably never will be able to.

Should you donate, proceeds will be used to fund the treatment, as well as to support her with her ongoing care and medical costs along the way.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this. I wish you all good health and happiness in 2019.
