Shari's Fund
Shari Dolan has spent years taking care of her mom, her daughter and her grandson. In the last year, she found some time to take care of herself, working hard to reduce her asthma symptoms and getting stronger -- only to find something else: breast cancer.
Shari's insurance covers most of her medical care. But it doesn't cover many out of pocket costs, including non-prescription pain pads and the high cost of almost daily auto trips to The Dalles, where her doctors are located.
Shari has been surviving on SSI, which has been adequate when she didn't have additional costs. Today, however, the costs are too much -- and Bill is so busy taking care of Shari that he doesn't have time to earn extra money.
So right now -- they are strapped. Shari is allowed to bring in up to $3,000 right now to cover her expenses without interfering with her SSI stipend.
Shari is one of the most remarkable people I've ever met, and lots of people feel the same way.
We want to make sure that while Shari goes through her surgery (scheduled July 24) that she doesn't have to worry about having in food in the house when she comes home or having the gas money to get to future medical appointments.
Let's help out the Dolans.
