Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,

 

What a curve ball life has thrown at me! What initially started as a minor stomach pain and discomfort, quickly spiral into a series of (3) surgeries in (6) months.

 

One morning in January 2023 I was in terrible pain, so I got up and went to the Rand Memorial Hospital. Once there, they immediately did a CT Scan and discovered that I had something on my left ovary and diagnosed me as having Dermoid Cyst. The Doctors decided to remove the Cyst and kept me in the Hospital for a few days.

 

In May of 2023, the pain came back with a vengeance. I rushed to the Rand Memorial Hospital and a CT Scan was taken and this time where they discovered a mass on my right ovary.

 

Early in June 2023, the pain was so excruciating that the Doctors at the Rand Memorial Hospital had to cut and drain the Cyst. Later in June 2023, the Cyst came back, hence, another set of excruciating pain. This time the pain was on my right side and then down to my legs. This was because the Cyst was pressing on my nerve. This was the last straw; I knew I needed specialize care, so I packed my bags and headed to the USA.

 

Once I arrived in the USA at the end of June 2023, I went to the Hospital where I was admitted for over (3) weeks; the Doctors conducted numerous comprehensive exams to determine a more accurate cause of what was taking place in my body. When the exams were done, the Doctors found a 10 – 15cm mass behind my uterus. The surgery was done where the Doctors did a biopsy and discovered that I have cancer on my appendix and intestines and I urgently need to have additional surgeries in hopes of removing all of the cancer cells.

 

As a result of not having any medical insurance and being in and out of Hospitals have caused a financial strain. Despite the challenges, I am determined to fight this battle; and with your support, I know that I will win!
