SHARE THE BALL

Hello, My name is Carson Greatrex. Up until the age of 14, I lived on a small island called Turks and Caicos, which is located directly below the Bahamas. As a child, I grew up playing soccer and eventually played for the Turks and Caicos National Team where I traveled to other countries playing the sport I loved. My dream is for all kids to be able to participate in sports they are passionate about. Turks and Caicos is a multi-cultural community, where I saw many underprivileged children not being able to participate in a sport they loved, due to lack of their own equipment. These kids are super talented athletes. Growing up as a youth on the island, I saw them playing for fun, but they did not join the teams or have access to the coaching and facilities as they did not have cleats or shin pads to participate. My goal for this fundraiser is to get these kids off the sidelines and raise money to pay for the equipment they need. I want to give back to a community that gave so much to me. I want to SHARE THE BALL., with youth my age so they can achieve the same dreams. My father and I will be heading into one of Canada's largest wilderness areas called Algonquin Park. We will attempt a 3-day trek paddling down rivers, across lakes, and over many portages, as we navigate the unknown and in support of raising money for these kids. I do hope you can share the ball with me and help support this goal to get the kids the equipment they need to play this phenomenal game called soccer.
