Shannon's Journey

On September 25, 2017, my best friend, Shannon Wink, was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Breast Cancer. That day was exactly 5 years to the day that she and her family buried her amazing mother, Linda, who died from breast cancer. Her sister Laurie (who I believe Shannon got some of her goofy personality from) died from breast cancer 20 years ago, at the incredibly young age of 30. So Shannon has unfortunately seen up close what mastectomies, chemotherapy, and radiation look like, and none of those treatments were able to save her mother or sister.

Due to the pain and suffering she witnessed first-hand from the conventional treatments her mother and sister underwent, she wanted to take a different approach to heal her cancer; naturally and with alternative treatments.  Through her faith in God, and the healing benefits of what God provides us, she believes that if your body can make the cancer, it can heal the cancer.

God has chosen Shannon to be an example that this can be done!

The day she learned that she had cancer, I saw a huge change in her. She was definitely scared, but Shannon has been doing research on cancer for years! I saw a determination and drive in her that is incredible and admirable. After her appointment on the 25th, she immediately made the decision to change her life. She began a radical change of her diet. She is only eating organic raw fruits and vegetables, juicing, using essential oils, and taking supplements to strengthen her immune system. It takes a lot of strength and courage not to go the conventional way of treatment and try alternative ways to heal naturally, but she truly has peace that God is leading her in this direction. She wants to be a breast cancer CONQUEROR, not just a survivor! But she needs our help because alternative treatments are not covered by insurance.  She will not be taking the conventional route for now, so she will need to personally fund all future doctors’ appointments, supplements, treatments, scans and blood work; these can cost between $600.00 and $800.00 monthly.

No donation is too large or small; all donations are a gift of love. It's amazing to find that $20 multiplied by so many hands can cover treatment costs. All we need is HOPE, and for that we have each other.

Let’s be a part of Shannon’s journey to conquering cancer!

God says that even if your faith is as small as a mustard seed, and you tell the mountain to move, it will move. No matter how small or immense your faith is, please pray with us to make this mountain move for Shannon and her family.

His power is made perfect in our weakness. For when I'm weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:9 )

What anchors you in battle is the confidence that God is on your side. Stand firm and see the deliverance from the Lord. Our God wins, if we march with Him we are going to win. Have peace, I've got you.
